Graham graduated MA in Clinical Psychology in 1972 and came to Perth from New Zealand in 1979. He has a life-long passion for learning and teaching psychotherapy. In the 1980s he was Director of Training for the Australian Society of Hypnosis, and is the only person in the only person in the world with official training accreditations in EMDR, Schema Therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. Now retired from full time clinical practice, he works almost full time as a supervisor and trainer. His other passions are hiking, 4WD trips into the WA outback and being a grandfather.
Associate Professor Christopher Lee
Chris is a trainer accredited by the EMDR Australia Association. He has had extensive training from leading figures in, DBT, EMDR, and Schema Therapy and is also an accredited trainer in schema therapy by the international society of schema therapists. He conducts therapist training workshops on personality disorders and trauma treatments throughout Australia and overseas. He has published research on personality disorders and PTSD. He received an International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies and EMDRIA awards for research excellence in 1999 and in 2009 he also received the Inaugural Francine Shapiro award for research excellence conferred by the European EMDRIA. He is the 2011 recipient of the Australian Psychological Society’s Ian Campbell memorial award for contributions to Clinical Psychology in Australia. He is a principle investigator in an international multicentre RCT on the treatment of Borderline Personality disorder and recently a principle investigator of an international RCT on complex trauma. He currently works 4 days a week in private practise and one day a week at the University of Western Australia.
Chris and Graham have extensive histories in training therapists in Australia. They were the first therapists to bring Schema Focussed Training to Australia and New Zealand in 1993. In 1996 they were the first therapist.
